The Cato Township offices are located in the Cato Community Center at 309 S. Lincoln Avenue downtown in Lakeview.
As a General Law Village, the Village of Lakeview remains part of Cato Township and maintains a close administrative relationship with the Township.
Regular meetings of the Cato Township Board are typically held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meeting dates and times may be adjusted due to holidays or other scheduling needs.

BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE CATO TOWNSHIP
The Cato Township Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed township budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 at the Township Community Center, 309 S Lincoln Ave, Lakeview, MI 48850 on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget is available for public inspection at 309 S Lincoln Ave, Lakeview, MI 48850, upon request.
The Cato Township Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon 3 days’ notice to the Cato Township Board. Cato Township Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, June 1 2026 at 6:00P.M. at the Township Community Center, 309 S Lincoln Ave, Lakeview, MI 48850. At this special meeting, the Cato Township Board will conduct a budget planning workshop. The Township Board may also discuss and consider any other business to lawfully come before the Township Board.
This notice is posted in compliance with P.A. 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
