The Cato Township offices are located in the Cato Community Center at 309 S. Lincoln Avenue downtown in Lakeview.

As a General Law Village, the Village of Lakeview remains part of Cato Township and maintains a close administrative relationship with the Township.
Regular meetings of the Cato Township Board are typically held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Meeting dates and times may be adjusted due to holidays or other scheduling needs.

EARLY VOTING RESULTS TABULATION NOTICE FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026 MONTCALM COUNTY, MICHIGAN
Notice is hereby given that the Montcalm County “Canvass the Vote” for the August 4, 2026, Primary Election Early Voting site is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the Pandemic Readiness Building, 651 N. State Street, Stanton, MI. “Canvass the vote” outlined in MCL 168.720j is also known as the Closing of the Polls by the precinct election inspectors. The polls will officially be closed and totals and summary tapes will be printed for early voting ballots cast, and the completion of the statements of results and the certification of the election inspectors will be completed for Cato Township Voters.
